Lake Michigan Credit Union (“LMCU”) is proud to announce Ruben Alfaras’s promotion to Senior Vice President SBA Director.
Starting at LMCU in 2022 as an SBA Senior Lender, Alfaras will now lead LMCU's SBA lending division, overseeing the credit union's growing efforts to connect small businesses with loan solutions in Michigan and Florida. Alfaras and the rest of LMCU's SBA team continue to drive success in this sector, with LMCU being named the SBA's 2024 Export Lender of the Year.
LMCU's Commercial Lending Executive for Central Florida, Courtenay Marshall, was excited to share the news of Alfaras’s promotion.
“Ruben is an experienced and passionate lender whose leadership, commitment to excellence, and dedication to our mission make him the ideal person to guide our SBA program into the future,” Marshall said. “Ruben will be instrumental in growing and enhancing our SBA lending initiatives, further positioning LMCU as a leader in this space.” Alfaras, meanwhile, is looking forward to this opportunity to expand LMCU’s focus on small businesses.
