Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU) proudly celebrated the recent opening of its North Muskegon branch with a ribbon cutting event held at the new branch located at 1606 Holton Road in Muskegon, Michigan.
Though LMCU's North Muskegon branch officially opened its doors to the public earlier this year on February 5, this ribbon cutting provided an opportunity for the credit union to more closely connect with North Muskegon community members and thank them for welcoming LMCU into the area. Attendees included local business owners, Norse Education Foundation board member Carolyn Nedeau, members of the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce, as well as LMCU President & CEO, Julie Leonard.
“We are so excited to celebrate this latest milestone and share our gratitude with the North Muskegon community,” Leonard said. “After 90 years of service, LMCU remains committed to our members, their communities, and their financial journeys. This is another great opportunity to not only thank our members for embracing LMCU, but also to listen to their stories and learn how we can best serve them now and in the future.”
LMCU Branch Manager for North Muskegon, Alysha Taylor, likewise took the opportunity to center LMCU’s people-first mission.
“It means a lot to be able to celebrate the opening of our North Muskegon branch within the community — and with the community,” Taylor said. “From helping first-time homebuyers save for a down payment to helping local businesses expand their operations, everything we do at LMCU starts with our members and their unique goals. We want to hear about their dreams face-to-face, so we can help make them a reality.”
